KURI-GOHAN

October is the season for harvesting rice. Steamed rice alone tasts delicious. However, a popular and even more delicious autumn rice dish includes add seasonal ingredients such as chestnuts to the rice. This is KURI-GOAN. (Rice cooked with chestnuts.)

I cooked KURI-GOHAN last Sunday. It was very derisious.

Rice: 2 cups

Chestnuts:300mg

Sake:30cc

Soy sauce: 5cc

Mirin:7.5cc

Solt: a little

Water:440ml

Could you try to cook!

Dear Yume, the kuri-gohan looks delicious!! Just looking at the picture makes me hungry! I am definetely going to try it... but the problem is that I feel that some ingredients are missing. On the picture, it looks like there is some meat and also green vegetable. Could you please tell me what it is? Thank you!!

I can tell you those ingredients.
Green vegetable is "mitsuba".
Another ingredient is "Japanese-mashroom". Normally those ingredients are not needed for the kuri-gohan. In this picture, it is a special version. Also depending on individual taste, the soy sauce is not needed.
